The Junior League of Phoenix Announces
The 7th Annual White Party “A Red Carpet Affair”
(Scottsdale, January 16, 2019) — In honor of their 85th Anniversary, The Junior League of Phoenix (JLP) announces its 7th Annual White Party “A Red Carpet Affair” at the Children’s Museum of Phoenix on Friday, March 27, 2020. Instead of the usual all-white attire, guests are encouraged to wear their favorite red outfits to celebrate JLP’s 85th anniversary. Attendees will enjoy an evening of dancing, cocktails and food samples from local restaurants.
“Last year’s White Party was a huge success. This year, we are really excited to celebrate our 85th Anniversary and hope to top it with a new theme and location, the best DJ in town, bites from the hottest local restaurants and high-end silent auction items,” said Kathleen Snell, White Party’s event chair. “Paparazzi will be present so ditch the white, dress your best and let’s paint the town RED!”
Proceeds from “A Red Carpet Affair” will benefit the League’s community programs and leadership training programs.
Current League programs are structured around JLP’s focus area of “Building a Healthy Arizona” including: ROCKETS—Raising Our Children’s Knowledge by Educating Through Science, a program that promotes early childhood development of science skills; Kids in the Kitchen, a nutritional initiative that seeks to combat childhood obesity; and Ending Hunger in the Classroom, a partnership with Valley of the Sun United Way which provides 4,700 students in nine Valley schools with nutritious breakfasts and distributes Weekend Hunger Bags during the school year.
