Angry Crab Shack, a restaurant specializing in seafood and boils with Asian and Cajun flavors, is excited to announce the Tucson franchise location is now under new ownership and will have a grand re-opening party on Friday, January 10. As experienced restaurant operators, franchisees and long-time employees of Angry Crab Shack, Matthew Prentice and Josh Arnold are excited to bring back the infectious culture and standards of the company to the community.
“As veterans of the foodservice industry, Matt and I are committed to delivering fresh high-quality seafood, outstanding service and everything beyond,” said Arnold. “The most important task for us right now is getting back to our true roots by embracing the vibrant, energetic brand and our core concept at this location.”
Angry Crab Shack is a fusion of Asian and Cajun flavors, sourcing lobster from the East Coast, Dungeness Crab from the Pacific Northwest, King and Snow Crab from Alaska, and crawfish from the Gulf of Mexico. Angry Crab Shack is an interactive, all hands-on deck dining experience that is affordable and family friendly. The butcher paper covered tables are the plates and your hands are the utensils.
“We believe in our team here at the Angry Crab Shack Tucson and look forward to continue serving the community,” said Prentice. “We feel blessed for this opportunity to revive this great location and share our passion through a memorable culinary adventure.”
Prentice and Arnold started working at one of Angry Crab Shack’s locations in 2015 as servers and eventually worked their way up to franchise owners this year. Together, they are owners of the Angry Crab Shack in Surprise and now Tucson, which opened in 2017. The business partners embody the fun, high energy atmosphere and culture of the company. They strive to make each guest feel welcomed and go above and beyond to make every meal one the guest will never forget.
Locally owned and operated since 2013, Angry Crab Shack has quickly flourished with nine Arizona locations, including seven in Metro Phoenix, Tucson and Yuma. The company is evolving as a national franchise brand and aims to open 100 locations across the country by 2023.
Located at 1365 W Grant Rd, the restaurant is open Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. For more information about Angry Crab Shack and to stay up-to-date with upcoming promotions and community charity events, visit angrycrabshack.com or follow on Facebook.
