The 6th annual RMHC Pro-Am Golf Tournament, benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Central and Northern Arizona (RMHC-CNAZ), will be played on the Talon and Raptor Courses at Grayhawk Golf Club, 8620 E. Thompson Peak Parkway in Scottsdale, on Thursday, May 14.
Registration, light breakfast and silent auction begin at 7 a.m. A VIP Clinic is scheduled at 7:30 a.m., an hour before the shotgun start. Lunch, raffle drawing and awards ceremony will follow the tournament.
The tournament, a signature fundraising event to benefit families staying at the Valley’s three Ronald McDonald Houses, has attracted an impressive field of amateurs and professionals including World Golf Hall of Famers Betsy King and Pat Bradley, LPGA Tour Pro Jan Stephenson, and PGA Champions Kirk Triplett, Tom Purtzer, Scott Langley, Don Pooley and Howard Twitty.
Presented by JFQ Lending (www.jfqlending.com), tournament co-chairs are Myles Johnson of the Garzella Group (www.garzellagroup.com) and John Kresevic of JFQ Lending.
Single player entry fee is $750 and includes golf, breakfast, awards luncheon and tee gift package. Available sponsorship packages range from $3,500 to $15,000, with commensurate benefits. Specialty packages range from $1,500 to $2,500.
Proceeds from the tournament will ensure that no family is ever turned away for the inability to pay the $15 nightly fee asked of families. The average daily cost to house a family is $77.
Each house provides a home-away-from-home for children and their families traveling to the Valley to receive treatment for serious, often life-threatening illnesses and injuries. Since opening the first House 35 years ago, RMHC-CNAZ has supported more than 53,000 visits. Nearly 90 percent of families are from Arizona.
