About The Seena Magowitz Foundation
Founded in 2002 by Roger Magowitz in honor of his mother, Seena Magowitz, who died of pancreatic cancer in 2001, the Seena Magowitz Foundation has raised more than $12 million to fund clinical studies that have led to other sources of funding, including $125 million to support ongoing clinical trials. The foundation maintains a staff of three unpaid volunteers and has no brick-and-mortar overhead, which allows for 100% of net proceeds to go toward funding medical research and raising awareness of pancreatic cancer, which has the worst survival rate of all cancers.
