New Additions Include Massive Activity Pool, Lounging Areas and More
Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Phoenix, Arizona’s largest waterpark, today announced plans for a major expansion for the 2020 season. The all-new Paradise Island will feature a 12,000-square-foot activity pool with over a quarter of a million gallons of clear, blue water to keep guests cool under the hot, Phoenix sun, a zero-depth entry for little ones, and unique floating lily pads. Guests seeking more action can splash and play in a new water volleyball area and a unique water basketball court.
“Hurricane Harbor is the premier waterpark destination in Arizona and we are committed to offering thrilling, new experiences that can be shared with family and friends,” said General Manager Donald Spiller. “Paradise Island will feature multiple new water play activities and relaxing water fun; it’s sure to be a favorite destination for guests of all ages.
Paradise Island will feature a 257,000-gallon activity pool with multiple interactive elements and areas. The entire expansion covers nearly 42,000 square feet and includes extensive lounge seating, comfortable shade, and new restrooms. Families will also appreciate the convenient location near Coconut Bay children’s area and Adventure River.
Other Paradise Island highlights include:
- Floating lily pad walk courses;
- A volleyball pool;
- Dueling basketball court and hoops; and
- A beach-style zero-depth entry area.
Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Phoenix is also announcing the start of 2020 Season Pass sales with its special Flash Sale through Labor Day weekend featuring the best deal of the year — savings up to 70% off of a 2020 Pass.
August 29 through September 2, guests will receive a free upgrade to a Gold Season Pass with every pass purchased. Gold Season Passes include admission to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Phoenix, and admission to Six Flags Magic Mountain plus any other Six Flags theme park, as well as free parking and special admission offers for friends.
During the Flash Sale, guests who sign up for a Membership receive three free months. Launched last year, the Six Flags Membership program offers guests a wide range of valuable benefits such as preferred parking every visit, unlimited soft drinks, 50% off almost all food and merchandise in the park, and exclusive perks that are only available to Members. Members who sign up for Six Flags Membership Rewards, the company’s new loyalty program exclusive to Members, earn points for almost everything they do at the park. Points can be redeemed for free food, merchandise, and special experiences.
