The University of Arizona continues to celebrates student and staff research, innovation and discovery.
U of A recently published an eye-opening report on groundwater pumping and its impact on stream flows in the United States.
A research study led by U of A professor Laura Condon found that groundwater pumping has led to a 50% decline in stream flows over the past 100 years. Condon is an assistant professor of hydrology and atmospheric sciences at the university, and her research has significant implications for the future management of water sources throughout the country.
