Pima County residents should be aware of an upcoming temporary closure at a community library.
The Kirk-Bear Canyon Public Library, located at 8959 Tanque Verde Road in Tucson, will be closing temporarily from Monday, August 5 – Sunday, August 18. Library officials plan to reopen on Monday, August 19 at 10am.
When the library reopens, visitors will get to see some exciting new changes, including updates to the 6,215 square foot library such as more furniture in the teen area and a shelving redesign to make it easier to access the library collection.
Although the library will be closed, the return book drop will stay open and items can still be returned at other library locations. Items due during the closure will be extended for an extra week, and reserved items not picked up by August 5 will be held for one additional week following the re-opening. Please keep in mind that any items on hold will not be able to be picked up at this location during the closure.
