Food City will hold two Back-to-School Fairs in Arizona — one in Phoenix and another in Tucson — on Saturday, July 13, to give away backpacks and supplies to school-age children in need, while supplies last.
The Phoenix fair takes place from 8 a.m. to noon at NFL YET College Prep Academy, and will also offer free immunizations for elementary and high school students in partnership with the Phoenix Fire Department. The fire department will also distribute pamphlets about water, smoke alarm and car seat safety.
The Tucson fair takes place from 9 a.m. to noon at the Food City Supermarket at Irvington and I-19, and will also feature a back-to-school raffle, with prizes like laptops and other electronic school supplies.
Specially designed for low-income families with elementary and high school students, the day is filled with activities to assist with back-to-school preparation.
Food City is an everyday-low-price grocery store for price-conscious shoppers.
