Arizona Department of Public Safety Mourns Loss of Adored K9

The Arizona Department of Public Safety is grieving the loss of one of their own.

Much-loved K9 Ax passed away on Monday, according to a recent tweet from AZDPS. Ax was part of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit.

Officials said Ax and his handler made an outstanding team with their efforts in public outreach, bomb threat response, security details and firearms detection.

Ax passed away with this beloved handler by his side on the night of July 8.
