Tempe seeking visual artist for Studio Artists Program

Tempe’s Studio Artists Program is looking for a visual artist with teaching experience. This partnership between Tempe Elementary District and the City of Tempe provides students with an opportunity to experience quality arts programming while providing personal studio space for the artists.  

Job Description

Artists receive $150 per four-hour workshop taught in approximately 25 classrooms. The artist will develop one workshop that relates to his or her artistic expertise and teach that same workshop to 4th graders. The residency commitment is two years with an option to renew. 

The artist will receive a studio space located at an elementary school in Tempe. The personal studio space is available to the artist at all times of the day and throughout the year.

Resume: Include recent teaching experience and accomplishments as an artist (2 pages)

Three Images of Personal Artwork: images of completed artwork (3 pages, 1 image per page)
