Police Officers Remember Fallen Comrade

The City of Phoenix Police Department shared a moving tribute this week to a fallen police officer.

44 years ago, on June 16, 1975, Officer Gilbert Chavez lost his life in the line of duty. The Phoenix Police Officer, who had been with the agency for one year, was fatally shot by a juvenile during a burglary at a Phoenix radiator business. He was survived by his wife.
