An alarming incident at a security checkpoint at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport left at least five TSA officers with injures.

A man tried to rush through a security checkpoint in Terminal 4 around 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday morning. He was unprovoked and attempted unsuccessfully to make his way through the checkpoint.

TSOs and Phoenix Police officers assigned to the airport responded immediately and subdued the man, who has since been identified as 19-year-old Tyrese Garner. A motive in the incident has not been announced by TSA or Phoenix Police.

One TSO was transported to the hospital while at least four others were treated at urgent care. An update on their conditions was not readily available.

TSA released the following statement on the incident:

This unprovoked and brazen physical attack against our TSOs is unacceptable. We are grateful for our committed workforce and for the role they play in protecting the traveling public every day. We continue to monitor the safety and health of the TSOs involved in this incident and will cooperate fully with the ongoing investigation.”
