The public is invited to join New Life Center in its first-ever Sexual Assault Response Panel discussion, on Thursday, June 6th, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Estrella Mountain Community College. Hear from a diverse group of speakers, to understand services available and the new role that New Life Center will fill in partnering with local authorities and organizations. New Life Center became a dual agency, serving victims in sexual assault and domestic violence, in December of 2018. The panel of speakers includes: Mayor Georgia Lord of Goodyear; Sheriff Paul Penzone, from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office; Goodyear Police Chief Jerry Geirer; Rachel Mitchell from the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office; Lindsay Ashworth of Arizona Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence; Myriah Mhoon of New Life Center, Cindi Nannetti of Judge Pro Tem and Bailey DeRoest of New Life Center.

New Life Center serves more than 1,000 children and adults annually through an emergency shelter and outreach support program, where more than 70 % of the shelter population is children. In 2017, New Life Center served more children and provided more bed nights than any other single facility providing emergency shelter to domestic violence survivors in Arizona.
