Are you ready to rock? Bring the whole family out to LOUD VIII, a celebration that brings local rock bands to the Tempe History Museum’s stage for an evening of music that’s in no way fit for the elevator. This free, kid-friendly show will get you moving and rediscovering your love of rock and roll. Concert-goers will also enjoy food trucks. Bring a t-shirt and Hamster Labs will screen print a LOUD logo on it for free. This is a free show.
When: Saturday, Feb. 9, 5-8 p.m.
Where: Tempe History Museum, 809 E. Southern Ave.
Here’s LOUD VIII lineup, featuring all female lead singers:
is a new five-piece group playing what they call dirty blues rock. Their influences include Led Zeppelin, Black Keys, Tom Petty, Amy Winehouse and James Brown.
Carol Pacey and the Honeyshakers
are one of the hardest working local rock bands. They play original rock and roll music from Tempe, Arizona, USA. They put their music in your face with big vocals, guitars and drums so you get your honey shaking, guaranteed!
Sara Robinson Band
is truly a return to the legends of rock. SRB mixes the best of the old and the new. Sara’s vocal performance is powerful and hypnotic, counter balanced by Yod’s killer chaotic mind bending guitar, while PC and Stan hold it all together on the bass and drums. You will feel every song they play.
