A local delivery driver got a rude surprise earlier this month when two very excited dogs made an overzealous appearance.
The UPS delivery driver was dropping off some packages in San Tan Valley in Arizona on Valentine’s Day when two large dogs came rushing toward him.
Despite the initial shock and surprise, the delivery driver soon discovered the enthusiastic animals just wanted to show him some love! The dog’s owner, Tanya Otto, told television station KSAZ that she had let the dogs, Lambeau and Lexie, out for some fresh air around lunchtime. When the driver arrived to deliver flowers and chocolate-covered strawberries, the dogs went to investigate, causing him to sprint back to the truck to seek cover.
“Packages went flying, and the guy ran to the truck,” Otto told KSAZ. “I felt terrible because I think he was terrified, I mean, looking at them.”
Otto and her neighbor acted fast, calming the dogs and apologizing to the driver so he could make his delivery in peace.
