A commitment to healthier eating doesn’t have to mean forgoing all of your favorites. Giordano’s is doing its part to help keep New Year’s resolutions going strong by serving up a delicious new menu with all of the flavor that Valley pizza lovers know to expect from their favorite pizzeria – at a fraction of the calories. And it’s just in time for an extra healthy boost, as research shows that most people tend to give up on New Year’s resolutions between the third week of January and the beginning of February.
Giordano’s new Lighter Fare menu, which is available now through Monday, Feb. 4, spans crisp kale salads and savory flatbread pizza with flavor profiles that scream indulgence. However, each item is offered at a reduced calorie count that makes it possible to enjoy a guilt-free lunch or dinner treat without having to log a cheat day.
Exceptional ingredients and recipes made from scratch are simply the way things are done at Giordano’s, and this special new menu is no exception. Featured items include:
Mediterranean Kale Salad: Crisp Tuscan kale, fresh romaine, pesto marinated tomatoes, and perfectly-ripened cucumbers tossed in Giordano’s house-made kalamata olive lemon vinaigrette and topped with crunchy Parmesan-crusted almonds. (464 calories);
Grilled Buffalo Chicken Salad: Chopped grilled chicken breast, crisp bacon, baby heirloom tomatoes, savory blue cheese, crunchy bits of celery, scallions, and Giordano’s house-made lemon vinaigrette drizzled with zesty buffalo ranch. (493 calories); and
Skinny Chicken Arrabiata Flatbread: Arrabiata sauce, grilled chicken breast, shaved asiago and Giordano’s famous mozzarella cheese topped with arugula and baby heirloom tomatoes tossed in a tangy house-made lemon vinaigrette. (721 calories).
They’re available for a limited time – now through Feb. 4. And to make them even more enticing to try, anyone who is an LA Fitness member can show their LA Fitness membership card to get a 25% discount on these three new menu items at either one of the two Giordano’s restaurants (Paradise Valley or Arrowhead locations) in metro Phoenix.
In addition to these limited-time reduced-calorie items, Giordano’s regular menu has something for everyone with special dietary considerations, including an array of fresh salads, a selection of extra-thin crust pizzas, and even gluten-free options.
Based in Chicago, Giordano’s has been serving its world-famous stuffed deep-dish pizza since 1974, when founders and immigrant brothers Efren and Joseph Boglio introduced their mother’s stuffed pizza recipe to Chicago. Becoming one of the originators of what is now internationally known as Chicago-style stuffed deep-dish pizza, Giordano’s currently operates restaurants across the Midwest and in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, and Nevada, and is also available for shipping anywhere in the continental United States at giordanos.com.
