Local bagel king Chompie’s is celebrating its 40thanniversary of bringing authentic New York flavor to the Valley of the Sun throughout the month of February. A proud member of the valley community, Chompie’s is giving back to that community by supporting United Food Bank.
First, Chompie’s is offering a special promotion on February 9, the traditional National Bagel Day. All five Chompie’s valley locations will donate 50 cents to United Food Bank for each and every bagel sold that day. The positive impact can add up fast, especially when you realize that every dollar raised through this promotion helps the food bank to provide five meals to people who need food assistance.
In addition, throughout the entire month of February, all of these Chompie’s locations will also feature donation containers, encouraging guests to contribute their change to help feed their neighbors in need through the work of United Food Bank. #ChompOutHunger
“We are so pleased that Chompie’s, a long-time, valued member of the Valley community, has chosen to mark their 40th anniversary by helping their neighbors in need,” says Dave Richins, United Food Bank president and CEO. “We encourage everyone to purchase bagels at Chompie’s on February 9 to make a real difference in the lives of people who aren’t sure from where their next meal is going to come.”
