Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley has graciously received a gift commitment and investment of $50,000 from The Sam and Laurice Hachem Foundation, 100% of which is dedicated directly to our youth and teens.  $25,000 was presented at the 41st Annual Night of Champions Gala as The Sam & Laurice Hachem Foundation Challenge Match for the Champion-A-Kid portion of the evening.  The foundation’s challenge was matched three times over, bringing the total to more than $100,000.

The remaining $25,000 has been designated to Great Futures for Kids Annual Giving Campaign for the Guadalupe Branch and serves as a Challenge Match for the Board of Directors.  The Sam & Laurice Hachem Foundation’s total donation with associated matching funds will provide access to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley for over 300 children and teens, funding programs such as STEM, robotics, Arts, leadership and athletics.

Sam and Laurice’s daughter, Mechelle Meredith-Ehardt attended the gala to present the Challenge Match donation for Champion-a-Kid.  Archie Bradley, Arizona Diamondbacks’ pitcher assisted Mechelle and East Valley Club kids as gala guests bid to match the foundation’s gift.

“We are deeply honored The Sam & Laurice Hachem Foundation has chosen Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley (BGCEV) for such a generous gift. We sincerely appreciate Laurice Hachem for thinking of BGCEV and doing so much for our Club Kids,” said Connie Perez, BGCEV CEO.
