Back to School in Style

My Local News Arizona - Advertisement

School may already be back in swing, but if your kids didn’t get a new backpack or pencil case, now is the time to get them one with style, while helping feed hungry kids around the world. E

Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), a Christian nonprofit that works with volunteers to pack meals to be sent to hungry kids in 70 countries, also hosts a MarketPlace full of back to school items such as backpacks, cross-body bags, pencil cases, lanyards and more. These items are purchased from artisans in the communities we serve, allowing them to make a living wage, and the proceeds help fund FMSC’s feeding program. You can shop locally at our site in Mesa at 1415 S. Alma School Road, or online at https://www.fmscmarketplace.org/collections/back-to-school. Every purchase helps pay for meals and build sustainable communities.

Here are some items that will really stand out:

Pencil case from Nicaragua. This brightly woven roll up case costs $10 and will fund 22 FMSC meals.

The Rufus backpack is made in Liberia and is unlike any pack anyone else will have. It is $25 and will fund 56 FMSC meals.
