Phoenix Theatre is excited to announce it’s 6-week run of the Tony-award winning show Avenue Q (July 25 – Sept. 9.)
Avenue Q is a coming-of-age story, addressing and parodying the issues and anxieties associated with adulting. The grown-up-themed stage production is a laugh-out-loud look at life after college for a group of neighbors – human and furry – who live on Avenue Q. Throughout the show, characters complain that as children they were assured by their parents, and by shows like Sesame Street, that they were special and could do anything but as adults, they have discovered, that in the real world, their options are limited, and they are no more special than anyone else.
Avenue Q is launching the 99th season for Phoenix Theatre, the first arts organization in Arizona and a founding member of the Central Arts District. Phoenix Theatre is the largest professional regional theatre company in the valley with nearly 500 performances each year on multiple stages.
Tickets for Avenue Q can be purchased online at the Theatre’s website at http://www.phoenixtheatre.com/ or by calling their box office at 602-254-2151.
