MESA, Ariz. (Aug. 9, 2018): Save the Family, which provides housing and supportive services to help families overcome homelessness and achieve self-sufficiency, will benefit from Desert Wind Harley-Davidson’s “Give A Shift” events on Saturday, Aug. 11 and Saturday, Sept. 22 at the dealership at 922 S. Country Club Dr in Mesa.
There is no admission to the event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. when visitors will be served a fried chicken lunch by Save the Family staff members and be able to participate in an indoor poker run for a Desert Wind Harley-Davidson gift card.
Donations to Save the Family will be collected “and 100 percent of the proceeds will be given to the organization,” said Yvonne Holmes of Desert Wind Harley-Davidson. “These events are our way of supporting the good work that nonprofit organizations like Save the Family do in our community.”
For the indoor poker run, visitors can stop by each of the dealership’s departments and pick up a playing card. Once collected, the cards will be turned in and the winning hand will receive a Desert Wind Harley-Davidson gift card.
