StarshineAZ is currently accepting applications for its inaugural female entrepreneur scholarship program, Reach for the STARs. The ideal candidate is a female entrepreneur who demonstrates a high ambition to create a viable, sustainable, woman-owned business in the West Valley but lacks support and/or funding to immerse themselves in a growth environment.

“At StarshineAZ our goal is to transform the way women do business through collaboration and community,” said Susan F. Moody, StarshineAZ Co-Founder. “This scholarship is a perfect way for an up-and-coming female business owner to find a community of like-minded women to help them cultivate and grow their businesses through mentorship, cooperation and sharing best practices.”

In association with this scholarship, up to five scholarship recipients will receive memberships to StarshineAZ, a collaborative community of entrepreneurial women focusing efforts to provide an environment that celebrates authenticity resulting in positive personal, social and economic impact (valued at up to $1,000 each.) Recipients must have transportation and be available to attend program elements in Glendale, Ariz. The scholarship program runs from July through December, 2018.

Submittals will be accepted between now and Friday, June 8. Online application packets and additional program details and requirements are available at https://bit.ly/2LFA1uZ.

“Reach for the STARs is designed to make a difference and give each woman-owned business a chance to thrive while developing future female business leaders in our community,” added Leeanne Gardner, StarshineAZ Co-Founder. “StarshineAZ provides solutions to ensure female entrepreneurs can make a difference in their communities through their business and lead a life that matters.”

Launched in May, 2017, StarshineAZ operates as an Arizona Benefit Corporation, a for-profit company with a social conscience. The organization’s collaborative communities, located in Glendale and Peoria, are designed to create positive personal, social and economic impact in local communities. StarshineAZ provides solutions for your business and support for the woman behind the business. From meeting rooms to mentoring, StarshineAZ supports all aspects of small business owners’ needs.
