Sunnyside recently revealed the addition of board members Celyna Cervantes, vice president of branch administration at Pima Federal Credit Union; Michael Barton, vice president of HDR and Eugenia Favela, Assistant TSuperintendent at SUSD.

The new board members will assist in achieving the foundation’s vision of providing “the resources needed for every Sunnyside Unified School District student to enjoy a comprehensive educational experience,” according to the official website.

The Foundation currently has their sights set on establishing a $1 million endowment fund to provide future funding for Excellence in Education Grants, Scholarships and Programs, says their website.

The Sunnyside Foundation is committed to securing funding and enriched educational programs as well as promoting “educational excellence by providing resources to support work which enriches the education, development and well being of all Sunnyside Unified School District children.”  For more information, please visit the official website HERE.
