Impaired Driver Suspected in Massive Crash

A terrifying car accident in Phoenix sent three children and several others to local hospitals.
Authorities suspect a driver was under the influence in the crash, which happened around 4 pm near 17th Avenue and Bethany Home Road.
According to the Phoenix Fire Department, two boys, ages 10 and 13, were transported to the hospital in critical yet stable condition. A four-year-old girl was also rushed to the hospital in stable condition with serious injuries.
Two women ages 38 and 42 were also in the car and taken to the hospital in critical yet stable condition. A 25-year-old male from the other car arrived at a trauma center also in critical yet stable condition.
The investigation continues into the crash and the possibility of impaired driving. Traffic was impacted for several hours after the crash.
