Barber Fest Promises Stylish Good Times

Mark your calendar for an unforgettable event of competitive hair styling!

The first-ever Sun City Barber Fest is happening on Sunday, May 6th at Grand Luxe Hotel and Event Center in Tucson. This event aims to educate barbers and cosmetologists by giving them the chance to showcase their styling skills in a friendly yet competitive environment. There will be plenty of educational seminars where professionals can learn more about their industry and hairstyling. Thes seminars include everything from concealing gray hairs to color and hair composition. The goal is to educate hairstylists on how to combine cosmetology and barbering.

These educational classes will begin at 9 am and continue until 12 pm. Cost is $50 online and $60 at the door, which includes prizes, continental breakfast, recognitions and free entry to the barber battle event in the afternoon. Guests are encouraged to bring notebooks and writing utensils to take notes!


The afternoon’s barber competition will include a student battle, fast fade, fade & beard, classic cut, creative fade, freestyle, total look tag team and best lady barber. Experienced, expert judges will pick the winners, and the competition is open for many to participate!
