We are a women-led movement that seeks to break down systemic oppression through nonviolent action, and we are back in 2018 with a new objective: Bringing the power of the women’s vote from the streets to the polls. On January 21, 2018, we reconvene at the Arizona State Capitol, not to protest that which has already taken place, but to advance progressive legislation and to give a voice to the progressive women who seek office in Arizona in 2018. We invite all who stand with the unifying principles of ending violence, protecting the reproductive rights of women, supporting the rights of the LGBTQIA community, advocating for wage equity, defending civil rights, promoting environmental justice, the rights of immigrants, and disability rights.

We come with a diverse group of speakers who will address the legislation and causes that are critical to women in 2018. Following the march, we will host a number of progressive organizations, candidates, and change-makers who will offer opportunities to the public for small ways to make a big change. We will offer voter registration and opportunities for the public to bring voter registration to historically underserved and underrepresented communities. This is what we believe will be the driving force for turning the tables in the 2018 elections and beyond. Additionally, you can expect live music, live art, interactive experiences, food trucks, and more.

Women, and in particular, women of color, have proven to be a formidable voice for justice reform at the ballot box. Together, we can bring the voice of women to the vote in Arizona!

This is a family-friendly event. We expect a large turnout and request that people leave their pets at home, with the exception of service animals. The event is wheelchair and stroller accessible and will have police support. We will provide bathrooms, sign language interpreters, and limited seating for those who need it. We look forward to seeing you at the march, and we’ll see you at the polls, Arizona!”
