Valley Company Provides Signage for Super Bowl

A Valley printing company is making big contributions ahead of the Super Bowl.

Tempe-based bluemedia is a national signage company leading the industry in décor, custom fabrication and experiential activations for brands, teams, events and venues. According to their slogan, they make the impossible look easy.

They certainly are doing just that, but sometimes they encounter unique difficulties. With the 52nd National Football League Championships less than a week away, they are getting creative as they experience something most Arizonans don’t understand: bitter cold temperatures. The forecast currently predicts high temperatures of 10 degrees, with low dipping just above 0.

That means die-hard football fans are going to need to bundle up. Even though U.S. Bank Stadium is an indoor stadium, it will be cold as fans make their way to the venue. bluemedia is facing the challenge of printing all of the banners, signs and wraps for around the city. It’s too cold to wrap skyscrapers, so the company had to figure out how to deck the city out in time for the big game.

Everywhere from the airport to hotels and the stadium boast cool displays indoors to ensure a great fan experience.

“It all starts with that with the NFL of how do we provide an amazing fan experience and the journey that the fan is on, not just at the stadium,” said Darren Wilson, the president of bluemedia.

While much of the pregame printing is kept secret, the signs and wraps will be sent back to Phoenix after the game before being recycled.
