Insurance Money to Fund New Bisbee City Hall

The city of Bisbee is recovering after the fiery blaze that destroyed their beloved City Hall last month.

City officials say they will use $2.3 million in insurance money to fund the rebuilding of the city hall’s interior, which was gutted in the Oct. 11 fire.

DC Restoration, a national firm headquartered in Mesa, will handle the project, and crews have already begun tearing down the three-story building that was constructed in 1909. Renovation work will begin once all the debris has been removed. They plan to use materials from local businesses as much as possible.

The project is on an 18-month schedule, with hopes that the restored city hall will be finished by April 2019.

Please visit the official Bisbee website for more information.
