Gang Members Arrested Northwest of Tucson

A flashed gun lead to several arrests northwest of Tucson over the weekend.

According to newly released records from the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a mother was driving on Interstate 10 when she was startled by a motorcyclist who pulled out a gun. The incident occurred on July 2, when a group of motorcyclists flashed obscene gestures at the family as they were traveling east near Casa Grande. As the motorcycles passed the family in the right lane, the lead rider pointed a 9 mm handgun at the father sitting in the passenger seat.

The couple’s three children were in the back seat of the vehicle during the incident. The husband called 911 to report the incident, and DPS troopers caught up with the motorcycles in Marana, off the Cortaro Road exit.

DPS identified the group as members of a Florida-based gang called The Chosen Few- “a documented, violent, outlaw motorcycle gang” according to the reports.

One biker attempted to flee the scene but was stopped, and six others were told to stay with their bikes. Only one rider admitted to having a weapon with the proper paperwork, and by the end of the ordeal, four men were charged and four handguns were seized.

Grant Jones, Marcus Moore, Carlos Hall and Jonathan Master were all charged with carrying a deadly weapon and failing to admit it. Master also faces charges of marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia.

The family involved in this incident was not injured.
