Barnes & Noble at Scottsdale Fiesta Square Mall is hiring for a temporary bookseller to deliver word-class customer service and ensure the store experience is interactive and engaging.
There are four core service principles at Barnes & Noble: put the book in the customer’s hand, offer to order, offer the Member program, and fast cashiering. These principles will be essential to an employee’s success as a bookseller. Its also important to greet and establish rapport with customers by engaging them in conversation about Barnes & Noble products and services. Employees need to be able to identify customer needs and connect them with the best solutions, as well as provide an enthusiastic, personalized experience to multiple customers at the same time.
They may also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store, straightening shelves and assisting in any area of the store when necessary. This position requires someone with a passion for books and people, as employees must be able to interact with all guests in a constantly changing store environment. Barnes & Noble stores are open daily, so applicants may need to have early morning, evening, weekend and holiday availability.
