A local organization is making a big difference in the lives of those affected by autism, and you can help.

SEEDs for Autism is a non-profit based in downtown Phoenix that provides hands-on learning opportunities for adults with autism, giving them the chance to develop skills to help them prosper. SEEDs provides a path from “learning to earning,” using educational, vocational training and social development to help these incredible individuals achieve a more promising future. Through their program, adults learn handcrafting skills, such as sewing, welding, beading, woodworking, ceramics and metal working. They end up creating beautiful pieces of jewelry, home decor, lawn decorations and much more, which they then sell in their shop and at special events.

While shopping at the SEEDs store or online is a fun experience, imagine hosting your very own trunk show! SEEDs is offering this option for anyone who is interested in sharing this amazing program with their friends and family. At their trunk show, guests will be able to purchase SEEDs products, enjoy refreshments, and even meet some of the hardworking artists!

For more information on this opportunity, please contact and learn more about the amazing program on their official website.

I am a multimedia journalist and proud graduate from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism & Mass Communication. I am originally from Minnesota, and I love learning about my second home, Arizona, and all of it's awesome communities through my contributions to My Local News! When I was a little girl, I created my own "newspaper" for my neighborhood and spent all my time writing, printing and sending each edition to my loyal subscribers (AKA my family and neighbors!). Now, it's a dream come true to be able to write everyday and have a positive impact on communities through my reporting. In my free time, I love to travel, hike, cook and spend time with my family and friends.
