Spartans Capture Victory at Show Low Invitational

The Northland Prep Spartans are celebrating after their girls soccer team won the Show Low Invitational over the weekend.

The Spartans finished 4-0, securing wins against Round Valley, Snowflake, Chino Valley and host Show Low.  They beat Chino Valley, 6-1, led by two goals from Emma Blair, as well as single goals from Eleni Papas, Ellie Karren, Brianna Hovis and Kiarra Hovis. This five-goal lead comes after their first game against Chino Valley earlier in the week, where they won 2-1.

In their final match against Show Low., Mia Blair scored three goals, along with a single goal from Ellie Karren and assists from Anna White, Emma Blair, Karre, Kiarra Hovis and Regan Eagar.

The Spartans overall performance at the invitational consisted of 20 goals and 17 assists while allowing only four goals. Freshman Kiarra Hovis earned the player of the tournament award.
The Spartans are 4-0 in regular season play and 8-0 overall. Next up, they head to Page on Tuesday for a 3:45 p.m. match.
