Sheriff’s Department Investigating Armed Robbery at Gas Station

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department has released information regarding an armed robbery at a convenience store earlier this summer, in hopes of identifying and locating the suspect.

The incident occurred on Saturday, July 22 at approximately 12:30 p.m., when deputies responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Circle K located at 3795 South Palo Verde Road. When they arrived, deputies learned that a male suspect had entered the store, and demanded the clerk give him all the money, claiming he had a gun. The suspect was given an unspecified amount of cash from the register before fleeing.The suspect then got into the passenger seat of a newer model four-door silver sedan, with an African-American female behind the wheel. According to the official press release, the male suspect is described as African-American, in his 20s, with short dark hair, approximately 5’7″ tall, and 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with an NBA team on the front, khaki pants, and dark colored shoes.

Robbery/assault detectives are actively working on this investigation and appreciate the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call 9-1-1 or submit an anonymous tip, with the potential for a reward, by text, phone, or by visiting 88-CRIME.org
