Azuñia Tequila Delivers Field to Bottle Tequila to the Valley

Fields lay quietly on Rancho Miravalle estate as the sun kisses rows of ripe, Weber Blue Agave in the early daylight hours. The volcanic soil is rich and fruitful, untouched by chemicals or synthetic fertilizers. This estate is the site where second-generation family-owned-and-operated estate grows and bottles all natural, certified organic, field-to-bottle tequila.

From these designated organic fields in the Jalisco, Mexico valleys, hand-harvested, fragrant, agave piña go to roast in traditional clay hornos in an estate-owned distillery. The honey-like juices of the cooked, crushed, and rinsed agave then goes to ferment naturally for five to seven days. Once gone through double distillation and filtration, a pure, smooth batch of Azuñia Blanco tequila is born. With another eight months of rest encased in used American Oak barrels, the agave elixir can transform into Azuñia Reposado tequila, or with a minimum of 12 months in hand-built barrels, the tequila becomes Azuñia Añejo. For the Azuñia Black tequila, special reserve Añejo tequila is allowed to age for two years then packaged in custom handmade wooden boxes. After aging, Azuñia carefully bottles and labels each bottle by hand. Master Distiller Salvador Rivera Cordona numbers and signs each bottle of Azuñia Black.

Rancho Miravalle estate has held true in the tequila business for 20 years, crafting homegrown tequila honestly and without shortcuts. All plants come from the estate’s own fields, cared for and maintained by owner Sergio Zuñiga-Partida and his family. Only the best Weber Blue Agave plants are chosen at the peak of ripeness – any plants that do not meet standards are rejected. The purest water, richest soil, ripest plants, and all natural techniques make Azuñia an honest tequila brand. No pesticides, additives, synthetic fertilizers, sewage sludge, or genetically modified organisms touch any aspect of the tequila from earth to glass. In order for Azuñia Tequila’s products to remain USDA Certified and BioAgriCert Organic, they must strictly adhere to stringent requirements and pass thorough, annual recertification process.
