At Allstate, we believe in improving lives and making communities stronger,” says Savannah Larsen, Allstate Event Leader.

Throughout April, Allstate employees and agency owners across the country volunteered their time to address pressing social needs.

Recently, Mesa-based Allstate employees and agency owners banded together to support  Feed My Starving Children. The Allstate volunteers packaged food for starving children around the globe.

This volunteer project was one of hundreds supported by nearly 13,000 Allstaters during Allstate’s annual Bring Out the Good Month. Together, Allstate employees and agency owners also raised more than $7 million for more than 8,000 nonprofit organizations.

“Bring Out the Good Month has special meaning for Allstaters,” adds Larsen. “It’s a time we can come together around the country to volunteer for the causes we’re passionate about and help staff soup kitchens, mentor youth and beautify community spaces. Supporting others is truly our purpose and it’s a source of pride for us.”

Feed My Starving Children, is dedicated to tackling world hunger. The organization sends volunteer-packed, nutritious meals to 70 countries. Food is sent to orphanages, schools, clinics and feeding programs in order to break the cycle of poverty. Their MannaPack™ meal formulas are specifically designed to reverse malnutrition. The packs provide protein, carbohydrates and key nutrients a child needs to thrive.

In addition to volunteering during Allstate’s Bring Out the Good Month, Allstaters are encouraged to support local nonprofits throughout the year. In 2016, Allstate employees and agency owners donated 230,000 volunteer hours and supported more than 8,800 nonprofits with monetary donations.
