The Arizona Elk Society (https://www.arizonaelksociety.org/) is inviting the public to a night of fun helping Arizona’s elk and other wildlife at the 16th Annual Fundraising Banquet at the Mesa Convention Center on April 8. The Banquet will feature a high-quality, delicious dinner, cash bar, raffles and auctions to assist habitat projects and hunting heritage, plus several surprises. Attendees can bid on Arizona Game & Fish Commission special elk, buffalo or lion tags or a Hualapai Reservation special elk permit, with proceeds going to benefit the species of the tag.
Arizona Elk Society Executive Director Steve Clark said that as the costs of conservation efforts continues to rise, fundraising events such as this are vital to maintain and expand the important work the society does to enhance the quality of wildlife habitat as well as teach the next generation to become responsible stewards of our national heritage.
“The generous gifts of the community help us maintain key services, especially our wildlife habitat projects,” Clark said. “Thousands of Arizona children have benefited from our various youth projects, camps and scholarship programs.”
