NAU Men’s Track and Field Earns No. 14 Ranking

The men’s track and field program at Northern Arizona University is enjoying a successful season. The Lumberjacks recently won the Big Sky Conference Outdoor Championships, marking the 22nd time this has happened in school history.

Now, they remain ranked as the No. 14 team in the country, according to the most recent national poll released Monday by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

NAU has held down this coveted spot for the second week in a row, tying the highest rank in school history. Out of mid-major schools in the nation, NAU ranks third best.

The fierce female athletes on the NAU women’s team have also moved up in the poll as they are currently ranked 43rd overall. Both programs are waiting the NCAA’s announcement, set for Thursday, on which teams qualified for the West Preliminary Round.
