
LEGISLATIVE IMPACT – Rep. Brenda Barton (R – Payson, Dist. 6) was recognized by the Arizona Association for Economic Development (AAED) with a 2016 Legislative Session Champions Award. Joining Barton were (left) AAED’s president, Jennifer Graves, CEcD, economic development manager, Gilbert, Ariz., and Joyce Grossman, AAED’s executive director. Barton was the prime sponsor of legislation that continued the property tax that pays for Central Arizona Project infrastructure debt service and maintenance, seen as a benefit for economic development efforts.
