Phoenix Children’s Hospital will host a special, three-day event called “I Survived, Now What?: Treating the Musculoskeletal Consequences of Maturing with a Chronic Pediatric Health Condition.”
This three-day course will specifically observe why children with complex childhood medical problems experience chronic pain and musculoskeletal problems as they rich adulthood. This event will address the reasons why these limitations tend to happen and what can be done to minimize their impact.
This event is ideal for pediatric physical therapists, occupational therapists and adult therapists who encounter these health issues in a professional setting, but other disciplines can attend if they wish. The overall goal is to improve therapists’ knowledge and confidence in implementing musculoskeletal techniques that affect quality of life.
Dr. Mary Massery will speak on her over thirty years of experience in the physical therapy and medical field. The event begins on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 8:00 AM, and continues through 5:30 PM on Sunday, April 23. For more information, please visit the official event page.
