One of downtown Phoenix’s most recognized art venues will be presenting Salon des Enfants 23 in April.
This unique artistic exhibition will be available for viewing from Friday, April 7, to the following Friday, April 14 at the Alwun House.
There will be an opening reception on April 7, with performances from school band, dance, and music groups. The public is invited to witness firsthand the enthusiasm and pride of local school art departments and performance programs, even in the face of funding cuts.
Celebrate creativity and artistic intuition and the event, and view the Phoenix Elementary School District’s Juried Youth Art Show from Tuesday-Friday of the second week in April. From 12-6 pm, guests will have the opportunity to view 300 juried pieces created by middle school students from 16 schools.
The art pieces are displayed salon-style and will be available for purchase right off the wall, for $20 each, with students receiving one-hundred percent of the funds.
The Alwun House is located at 1204 E. Roosevelt Street, and it has served as a leader in the downtown art community for decades.
