Arizona’s own Four Chambers Press is looking for eight local authors to participate in a new exhibit coming to the Scottsdale Waterfront at the end of February.
Four Chambers Press, Phoenix’s independent community literary magazine and small press, is seeking authors to respond to featured art installations at the 2017 Canal Convergence Water + Art + Light in partnership with Scottsdale Public Art.
The unique art exhibit will be open over the weekend of February 24-26 at the Scottsdale Waterfront. All interested artists, regardless of literary genres, performance styles and forms are encouraged to apply. Each author will have time to prepare and research their artist, but they will be asked to embrace the festival’s dynamic, temporary nature and create their work during the actual event. The finished pieces will be performed on Sunday, February 26th, on the main stage at 5 pm.
Authors will receive a $100 stipend and a $20 gift card from Changing Hands Bookstore.
The deadline for applications will be Friday, February 10th, 2017, and interested individuals can learn more and apply online at http://fourchamberspress.com/canal-convergence.
