A heartbroken family is grieving the sudden loss of a beloved mother and wife in Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts following a freak accident in her garage.

52-year-old Deborah Reade-Kochka was discovered pinned between her vehicle and her garage door last Tuesday. The mother of two passed away at Cape Cod Hospital after her husband, Donald Kochka, came home from work and found her “gravely injured” between her 2017 Honda SUV and the garage door, according to a Facebook post from the Yarmouth Police Department.

Reade-Kochka had just earned her bachelor’s degree prior to her passing, and her family is understandably devastated by the tragedy. Police responded to the emergency call around 5:20 p.m. and law enforcement officials found the SUV still running and the gear set to drive, according to WHDH.
