AAED’s Workforce Symposium to Address ‘Partnering for Progress – Economic Development to Workforce Reality’

The Arizona Association for Economic Development (AAED) will hold a Workforce Symposium to discuss “Partnering for Progress –Economic Development to Workforce Reality.” The symposium will be held April 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at 2901 N. Seventh St. in Phoenix.

Ioanna T. Morfessis, president and chief strategist for IO. Inc. will provide the keynote address. She will discuss global innovation, technology and the trends that are impacting the nature of work and the workers required to perform it.

Doug Walls, research administrator for the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity, will share his insight on “Data-Driven Decisions Through Labor Market Information.”

Additionally, panel discussions will be held on “Drilling Deeper to Build a Labor Pipeline” and “Community College Partnerships: Three Industry Experiences.”

The cost of the symposium is $60 for AAED members and guests and $75 for non-members if registered by noon on April 6. Late registration is $85. To register, visit www.aaed.com/event/april11.
