AAED’s Southern Arizona Symposium to Address ‘Growing The Economy With Autonomous Technologies’

The Arizona Association for Economic Development (AAED) will hold a Southern Arizona Symposium to discuss “Growing the Economy with Autonomous Technologies.” The symposium will be held March 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at Tucson Electric Power, 88 E. Broadway Blvd. in Tucson.

Sessions will be held on non-military applications of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), how Arizona can attract and retain businesses in the UAS industry and how autonomous technologies are impacting the mining industry.

A luncheon panel discussion will address “Autonomous Transformation, Innovation and Disruption; The Way Ahead.” Panelists will be: Pete Mangelsdorf, director, innovation, unmanned air systems, advanced missile systems, Raytheon; Anthony Mulligan, founder and CEO, Hydronalix, Inc.; Rafael Gaytan, president, AUV Flight Services; and Callie Groth, vice president, operations and business development, BrockTek.

The cost of the symposium is $65 for AAED members and guests and $80 for non-members if registered by noon on March 16. Late registration is $90. To register, visit www.aaed.com/event/march22.
