The bees are buzzing as my children and I trek through the shady grass towards the sound of acoustic guitar. As we approach the Bisbee farmers market, we are greeted by the aroma of roasting peppers and locally raised pork. Surrounding the barbecue we find tables offering a wide variety of organic vegetables, fruits, homemade pastries, fresh eggs, handcrafted soaps, lotions and salves containing the finest essential oils. We carefully select our favorite treats while being greeted by many friendly faces offering kind words and free samples. We pick a shady spot near the talented guitarist and the kids settle in to enjoy fresh baked pizza and gourmet cookies. The children are soon invited to join in making crafts, and we all stop to pet every gentle dog who comes our way. My mind is at ease this sunny Saturday morning, as I find myself surrounded by like minded people who have come to enjoy our beautiful weather and inclusive community.
