The Gilbert Police Department’s Blue Line of Love Toy Drive gives holiday assistance to families in need. This is a great opportunity to provide a Merry Christmas to local Gilbert families that may not otherwise have the opportunity to give gifts to their children. New and non-giftwrapped toys, clothes, and gift cards are being accepted as donations. Contributions are being accepted until Wednesday, December 21st and can be dropped off at any of the participating locations listed below.
Specific needs include gift cards, wrapping paper, and bows. The gift cards are especially welcome as past toy drives have shown to bring in many toys for younger children, but less for the older ones. The gift cards go to the older children between the ages of 15 and 17 who are typically in desperate need of new clothes and shoes.
After all of the donations are received; Gilbert Police officers, staff, volunteers and families will take the donated wrapping paper and bows to wrap all of the donations within a 24 hour period. This allows for all donations to make it to the families in need before their holidays begin. Please consider donating, as your contribution provides a local Gilbert child in need with a wonderful holiday experience.
