Alamo Drafthouse is gearing up for the much-waited grand opening of its new Chandler location by inviting job seekers to a job fair on Thursday, November 10th. However, the official grand opening date is still unannounced.
Alamo Drafthouse provides a unique combination of theater and restaurant, showing first-run movies, independent films and special events with an extensive menu made from scratch. Guests order all food and drinks from servers who attend to them throughout the movie. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the pre-show entertainment. Instead of pre-show advertising, the Alamo shows a curated collection of rare and humorous clips.
Another location is currently in the works in Tempe at the Lake Country Village project on Baseline Road, east of Rural Road and west of Lakeshore Drive. It’s currently being built from the ground up. An opening date for that location has not been announced.
Alamo Drafthouse Chandler will feature 9 screens of new releases, classic movies and the Alamo’s unique signature programming, with seating for 975 moviegoers. Each of the auditoriums will be equipped with digital projection, as well as an optimal screen size-to-room ratio and enhanced sound. In addition to the sophisticated AV equipment, the layout of each auditorium will eliminate the traditional front row to ensure every seat in the house allows for a great viewing experience.
Additionally, Alamo Drafthouse protects the theatrical experience with a zero tolerance policy for people who disrupt the film with talking or texting. Alamo Drafthouse was featured on national news for a viral “Don’t Talk” PSA (advisory: uncensored profanity) that used a angry voicemail from an actual patron who was ejected for texting during the film.

They are hiring for Servers, Server Support, Bartenders, and Kitchen Staff. Position details include:
• Kitchen Staff — Hourly rate based on experience starting at $10. Flexible schedules. Kitchen staff positions include: Fry, Expo, Grill, Pizza, and Salad.
• Server — $5.05 + Tips — Flexible hours based around movie show times and server availability.
• Server Support — $5.05 + Tipshare. Flexible scheduling.
• Bartenders/Service Bar — $5.05 + Tips. Service Bar — hourly wage starting at $9.
