12 Arrested Following Chandler Drug Bust
Local law enforcement officers are celebrating a major drug bust.
Chandler Police have arrested a dozen people for their role in an alleged drug trafficking ring.
These arrests come after a thirteen-month investigation that began in May 2017 when the department’s narcotics team identified the organization and their role in selling and distributing illicit drugs throughout Chandler.

“The drugs were being transported from their point of origin near the Mexican border before being packaged and, finally, distributed for sales,” police confirmed in a news release.

Over the course of their investigation, detectives identified 12 people with ties to the organization, and all of them were taken into custody and booked into the Maricopa County Jail on Tuesday, July 24.

The suspects face numerous felony charges including money laundering, dangerous drugs for sale, conspiracy to commit possession of narcotic drugs and illegal control of an enterprise.

During the investigation, detectives seized seven firearms, two pounds of heroin and methamphetamine, as well as cocaine, fentanyl and marijuana.

This successful investigation was made possible through the cooperation of Chandler Police with the Drug Enforcement Administration, Maricopa County Attorney’s Office and the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
